Independent scientific studies and research published in peer reviewed journals relating to the potential health effects of the different beta casein types have generated wide international interest. This section provides a summary of the science associated with a2 milk™.

Milk allergy information

So far as we are aware, a2 milk™ is no more or less allergenic than ordinary milk. Both a2 milk™ and ordinary milk contain the proteins implicated in milk allergies. The difference is that a2 milk™ naturally maximizes the beta casein A2 protein content while excluding other beta casein variants (and their digestion products) that some studies have implicated as linked to particular biological responses. Despite some anecdotal reports from a2 milk™ consumers noting a reduction in allergic reactions, we do not know of any reason why this should occur, and think it likely to be due to factors other than a2 milk™. We recommend that if you have a milk protein allergy, you should consult your doctor before trying a2 milk™.
